Dr. Brian J. Nimphius D.C – Chiropractor, Clinical Nutritionist, Author, and GIOIman

Better known as GIOIman, a name given to him by his high school teammates and carried throughout his life, Dr. Brian J. Nimphius has spent over 22 years helping people achieve peak performance and lasting health. As the neuromuscular specialist at MaxHealth Family, Internal and Sports Medicine, he specializes in chiropractic care, nutrition, and exercise, using terrain theory to guide his non-surgical, non-pharmaceutical approach to wellness.

While in high school he was a running back and corner back for the 1992 Carroll High School football team. During the season he kept yelling the phrase GIOI as a battle cry. Anytime he or his teammates would make a big play, score a touchdown it was yelled. As the season went on and they won more and more games, the phrase got used more and more and Brian became know as GIOIman. By the end of the season they had a perfect 16-0 record were crowned State Champions. That term GIOI was then engraved on all their championship rings and has been a part of Carroll folk lore ever since.

After high school GIOI did’t end, GIOIman carried it with him into his collegiate career as a decathlete and pole vaulter on a track scholarship. In college, GIOI became more than just a motto; it was a personal battle cry. However, years of intense training led to several minor injuries, and a major pole vaulting injury ultimately derailed his Olympic dreams. This setback, however, became a turning point, inspiring him to pursue nutrition and chiropractic care so he could help others recover from injuries and regain their strength

A former college decathlete, Spartan obstacle course racer, and ultra-marathon runner, Dr. Nimphius has firsthand experience in the delicate balance between physical performance, recovery, and longevity. From 10Ks to 55K trail ultramarathons, he didn’t just race—he used these extreme challenges as a testing ground for his nutritional knowledge, gaining deep insights into what athletes need before, during, and after training and competition. His expertise in neuromuscular health and functional nutrition led to the creation of GIOI Gummies, an innovative, all-vegan supplement designed to support instant muscle activation and sustained performance.

Beyond clinical practice, GIOIman is also a published author, offering science-backed insights on weight loss, nutrition, and optimal health. His latest book, co-authored with leading experts, delivers a complete strategy for weight loss, integrating medications, exercise, and nutrition to maximize results. He also published ‘The Book of GIOI’, motivational guide outlining the principles that have shaped his approach to life.
